How It Works

The CJI represents the ratio of Potential CareerSeekers (supply) per Job Ads available (demand). The CJI data is sourced from CareerJunction's CareerSeekers (individuals who are registered with complete and searchable Resumes and have been actively using the CareerJunction website in the previous 6 months) and Job Adverts placed on the CareerJunction website.

The CJI is based on comparative data over a 6 month period - where the second three months are compared to the first three months.

The CJI provides three potential scenarios:

The CJI is greater than 100

Indicates a trend that there is a decreasing number of Potential CareerSeekers available per Job Ad, therefore recruitment may become difficult and job hunting may become less competitive over time.

The CJI equals 100

There are no changes regarding the Potential CareerSeeker per Job Ad ratio. Supply and demand are following the same trend.

The CJI is smaller than 100

Indicates an increasing number of Potential CareerSeekers available per Job Ad, therefore recruitment may become easier and job hunting may become more competitive over time.
